Yoga is best defined as a physical and meditative science which is a practical, methodical and systematic discipline with the goal of helping people become more aware of their deepest nature. Just as Yoga poses and postures have always been used to help us strengthen our minds and bodies they also prepare us to remain still and quiet so that through meditation we might better understand our true self.
